Local Lib Dem Issan Ghazni wants to see more police on the beat.

The Council is not meeting its own targets when it comes to tackling crime and antisocial behaviour, a recent report considered by City Councillors revealed. Although the council is making some progress, some targets have not been met and still more targets have not even been measured.

Lib Dem Councillor Tom Stephenson said "This report does not reflect the real world. The Council needs to recognise that things should be better." Local Lib Dem Parliamentary spokesperson Issan Ghazni still wants to know what more is going to be done to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. He added "What we need are more police officers on the beat not an expensive waste of money like ID Cards."
