Sheila Roper Centre
Last year we reported the success of former Liberal Democrat Councillors Tony Sutton and Dave Oldham in rescuing the Sheila Roper Centre from closure.
The refurbished Centre on Baslow Drive now has a group of people who have taken responsibility for running it. Angela Stanton had been running it on a daily basis and, at a public meeting on 18th October, she was elected as secretary of the new Management Group. Sarah Cumberbatch will chair it and Dave Robinson will be its treasurer. Pam Meese, Dave Oldham and Bill Smith are committee members.
The Centre is available to everybody for functions, including private parties. Anyone interested should contact Angela Stanton on 07729673395
